Weekend before last, to celebrate the new mot and so on, I decided to smarten generally round the bus.
As you can see from the 1st picture, the rear had been lifted with a fork lift truck to get at the engine!!

The second is the after, its amazing what an anvil and a set of mallets can do.

This last weekend was another trip ski-ing.
The van is really running at its best, full power for a CT and nothing to be ashamed of, the speed on mountain roads is determined more by the handling than the BHP. The MPG is up, I am getting 28mpg on the motorway, and about 22 climbing.
Now that I have got the timing set to please me, the oil temp finger on dipstick test is just nicely warm. There are no oil leaks, but there is spotting on the tailgate with a consumption of about 250 mls per 500 kms.
I am putting this down to worn valve guides, (I am using the CT heads with about 110 000 kms. on them)
I will do a write up when I get time, the problem is that the weather looks good for another ski ing weekend, and at the end of the month is the 'Trophy Andros', (motor racing on ice).... got to be seen to be believed.
Cordialement,
