anti roll bar

Hi,
On my '85 I have to replace the rubber bushes on the end of the anti roll bar at the top of the drop link. I have straight drop links as expected on an '85, but the roll bar is 21mm diameter, as would be expected on a pre '84. The roll bar also appears a bit narrow, but that could be just the drop links over tightened at the bottom, as its only a few mm by eye.
I wondered if the anti roll bar has been changed at some point to the earlier one, but not the drop links, or would the difference in length make that impossible?
Its not a big stress because I can buy the earlier 21mm bushes and they will fit, just whether a slight difference in overall length is what's causing them to fail.

They where fitted with a 21mm bar up to 1986

3 sizes 19 , 21 and 23

no specific vehicle for the 19 and 21

23 is pre 84 with optional HD suspension

they are all interchangeable and there seems to be several different shapes!
