Not even sure what it should be called, checked wiki and can't find reference to replacement as the tube that holds the dipstick has sheared off, quite cleanly right where it joins the engine !!!!, leaving a nice hole for oil to spurt out of.
I presume it's just held in by the O ring I can see, but does anyone do this as a replacement part ?.
If it's not one thing, It's another, keeps boredom at bay tho so all good

Is this for a petrol or diesel? I think we have both here if needed, but which one.

Its a 1.9 petrol.
I have now retreived the bit out of the engine and then welded it back together. Imagine my joy when I found that I cant put it back into the engine as the water pipes to the water pump are in the way and obviously have to come off to allow me to put it back in ...Arrrgh !!!!! f, f, f, f ing hell lol
