syncro westy

I have a chance of a westy syncro,but the front prop has been off for at least 4 years and the previous owner has never used it off road so has no idea if the vc works or the front and rear diff locks work.the 1.9 petrol is ok its MOT,d and taxed and in reasonable nick.Whats it worth and Am I buying an expensive can of worms?Any help greatly appreciated,Thanks.

To answer your question in 1 answer - yes you are buying an expensive can of worms, even if it is tip top, 1 old lady owner, fsh etc there is gonna be a money sapping issue.

well its good to see its come in to the fold. sure the van has some history. the roof addition must have a story, recon it must have been a factory pop top at sometime. my mate "the crash" is still on the look out so if anyone hear of owt. give us a heads up.

Looking for a left hooker syncro myself. Ideally one that needs work.
