Headlight Grill Refurb

Post by pocolow »

Since I had to take off the headlight grill to fix the dodgy heater fan,I decided to do a few repairs on the head light grill. Being a "Taifun"grill replacements are few and far between and the years had taken it's toll on the grill fixing points. A bit of fibre glass on the back of the grill helps to reinforce the weak points and then a respray in Satin black and she's ready to be refitted.

I hope you polished the van so the grill doesn't stick out like a sore thumb?

I'm thinking of using matt black plastikote on mine so it doesn't look so "new" - any comments/done this before?

Will I need to use a plastic primer or will the plastikote take straight onto the grile?
