Paul

I only got my '89 last month, but it came with all the original manuals, including the Autosleeper manual / wiring diagram / heater manual, etc. I've got no means of getting them copied on to the 'puter, but if you pm me your address I'm happy to photocopy and post to ya. Just let me know which ones you want.

Oh, I also got the instructions for the original portaloo! :rofl

Cheers

Dubdogs has kindly said he will post to me next week. When i get them I will see if I can scan then maybe we could put up on Wiki?

Only prob is my scanner drops them out as TIFF format and I don't have Adobe to make a PDF so might need some help there.

Awesome forum BTW, really helpful - had a range of classics and this is the best organised forum I have used by far.

Hi,
Also have a VHT model, first registered Dec 1987. I am 3rd owner. Vehicle is still in original colours (Pastel White/Rosso Robinia), will get round to rollering or respray one day.
I have got a complete history of the van ie. Ist reg documents, all MOT certs + records/receipts of all work done.
Current mileage is 85000. I have owned it since July 1999.
Mods etc. Fibre glass spoiler, converted to run on lpg (added Propex at same time), Omnistor awning, new oil cooler (auto box) new fridge and external vents. Have added insulation where possible. Various other bits replaced as required-- alternator/ignition switch/oil pressure switch/tappets...........
Have removed top bed and half boarded across (pics in garage) and use area for storage, can fit six crates up there.
Just about to wire in a Cetec battery charger and plan to add a waste tank when the concrete gets a bit warmer. Two adults (used to be two dogs as well ) have travelled from Skye to Cornwall and Wales to Norfolk. Try to use it most months of the year
Best thing we ever bought.

Hi,

Just thought I'd add a couple of pics of ours:

Image

I've got rid of the cak-brown stripe (it was peeling) and repainted the lower half in RAL2000 using the 80-90 roller technique. The top looks shabby now though so that's this summers project....

We've also had the front seats recovered - best money we've ever spent as they are now comfy and look pretty cool to:

Plans for this year also include re-carpeting the interior and putting some new flooring in.

Cheers,

Alex

Nice seats Alex. Where did you get them done? Would you mind saying if it was pricey?

Funds permitting we're looking to get something similar done, probably a bit darker for us though as the dogs attract dirt!
