Just an interesting aside on this subject ... for those registered as a 'Panel Van' in the Terms and Conditions which I got in my emailed confirmation ...
Vehicles: This fare is available for cars, motorhomes, motorcycles and motorcycle combinations only and up to five passengers.
This fare is not available for vans.
No doubt this will show up on their system as soon as you enter your registration, same as those of us blessed with lpg do if we try to book with Eurotunnel.

If the vehicle is over 8 metres in length a supplement of £12.50 per metre or part thereof will be charged. If the additional metreage is not declared in advance, the additional metreage will be charged at check-in.
That'll "frell" 72Bug up then
Looks like they've charged us about a fiver extra for Tina being an adult by then

early boat , but plan to camp over near dover anyway

Norfolk ferries are the cheapest and will probably remain the cheapest. They also have the most modern and comfortable fleet of ships and Dunkirk is only a few minutes up the motorway from Calais.

Not at the moment they're not. Sea France is much cheaper when using the ''JAN11BVP'' discount posted by Louey.
I'm sailing Dover - Calais, going out in May & returning in early June. The original prices were:- Norfolk Lines £119.00, Sea France £130.00 & P&O £138.00. With the discount Sea France drops to £85.00 but if I return on Monday rather than Sunday, it's only £68.00. I would rather return on the Sunday because there is less traffic. Who wants to negotiate the world's biggest car park (M25) on a Monday?

Norfolkline are sometimes the cheapest - that said, it's been quite a while since they've been the best quote for us. I can't say I miss Dunkirk, to be honest...
