Devon Conversion replacement/ Elixir "old style" roof vents

Post by matt brighton »

Hi

Posted about this a week ago - update........

Recieved and fitted replacement skylight for my 1982 Devon - £25 from a company called ABP Accessories.

They specialise in american motorhomes but stock replacement for elixir roof vents - good service and very helpful over the phone/e mail

Find them on google

Saves buying a complete new "glossy brilliant white" fiamma unit and taking a jig saw to the roof to accommodate the larger hole required just because the vent is cracked or discoloured - as all I have seen seem to be (except mine now !!!)

hope this helps someone

Matt - very helpful post, may assist with our skylight woes as well.

Any chance of a link to the right product - can't find it on the webiste and it's the weekend you see. Any tips on the fitting process or even a photo or two?

Thanks again - I've searched for ages for the right thing and have (temporarily?) resorted to gaffa tape!

OK found it on the web site!

Your comments on fitting still appreciated, if possible.

Mike

Fitting is A doddle !

All makes sense when you get the replacement.... just unscrew the winder mechanisim from inside the arm slides out of the raiser runner - 2 screws either end of the hinge and slide the unit off...

Really chuffed with finding the replacement -

Any furthur questions dont hesitate to ask
