I've known for a while that i had a vale issue on the old girl so I though i'd drop the engine and sort it ready for the year ahead.
it looks like it is just the one valve, there are a few pictures below but my question is.... can i just stick a new valve in and clean the rest up or does it require a bit more than that?
cheers rich

Er... I think that would take a lot of lapping in that.
I would use a good second hand head and lap the new valves into them.
Great pics rich. ..thanks
Rich...Like others have said, I would be trying to regrind that seat with a replacement valve. You going to regrind the rest while your at it? I would. You got to also ask the question why its burnt out in the first place...mixture? Timing?
I may have a secondhand good valve if you need one

Yes, if you can, get a set of 4 exhaust valves, crankcase to cylinder paper gaskets and a complete set of valve stem oil seals, (available singly from JK.)
I would pull the cylinders and check/change the rings.
Number everything as you go, I use a fine hacksaw.
Grind in the valves , and grind the top of each cylinder into its valve chamber.
M2s (molybdenum sulphide) grease on the new valve stems would not go amiss.
