Re: accelerator linkage on Aircooled engine
i couldnt say without seeing the stuff.
frankly from experience , first of all everything wants tightening up and adjusting, after that a welder , some drills and grinding can sort most problems out.
what is your actuall problem? usually its carb inbalance and /or throttle travel or stiffness

Re: accelerator linkage on Aircooled engine
main problem is wobbly rattly throttle linkage that makes it difficult to balance carbs and doesnt let me hit full throttle,

apart from in the end of the main tube across the engine there is a nylon socket with a spring behind , this can dissapear, everything else should tighten up.
usually the whole choke units on the carbs move , this is the securing screws loose.

Re: accelerator linkage on Aircooled engine
cb one totally different to stock one. god second hand only way forward i think.
oh just a thought is the spring loaded cup still in the end of the throttle linkage bar?
this is there to damp out vibrations
