its like anything really...if you use it, like it and get a benefit ...thats good.

if you dont....save your money.

i would not recommend anyone joins the CC who is not going to "go"

last year we probably did about 8 sites...i just find the "network" usefull...eg we went to France via Dover.
stayed at 1 great site on the way out...1 nighter and a different one on the way back.

about £16 a night for a gauranteed propper pitch with all the facilities AND a gauranteed nights sleep (sounds like a premier lodge )....you cant go wrong IF you like that kind of thing.

I like going to shows and complaining about the shocking state of the bogs....but at least you know what youre getting into.

the bit that really grates on me is when you go to what is supposed to be a pukka site...pay top money...and then find that you are camping with the cast of Shameless. ( if you do fancy this I highly recommend the Searles site in Hunstanton...I booked in for 5 nights and managed 1 before getting my money back and moving to....you guessed The Sandringham Estate CC site.....quite a difference ( they had flushing toilets and everything.)

We camp at cc rallies nearly every weekend during summer we have about 5 within 45 mins every weekend to pick from. We even use them in summer for full weeks when the temp holiday sites are on.

It's cheap, quiet (as in silent after 10) and they move every weekend.

We were members for a few years and the sites amenities were always spotless, sites well run and quiet after 10pm.....the main problem we found was that most of their club sites are too far away from the main center interest e.g. Windermere C&CC site is miles away from Windermere, and the Bude site was also quite a way outside Bude......But as long as you know this when booking you know you will always have a good site when you get there.

The big sites book is very comprehensive and we used to look through it until I found that I can do things much more quickly on the intwerweb.

Our current favourite site in Cornwall that is C&CC members only is Trewan Hall, By the way you don't have to be a member before you book, but can join on most sites when you get there.
