Post by dills05 »

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if (and how) a Bay interior could fit into a T25?

Sell the bay interior and build yourself a new one, I'm sure it will be less hassle

I haven't got one in my possession - saw a tidy one on ebay and was wondering if it was possible! Would love to have a go at building one myself but just wouldnt know where to start TBH!

Start with Ikea free standing kitchens... or any kitchen bathroom cabinet makers. Ikea do the best though in my opinion.

once you have a template for the van contour, simply cut off the back of the cabinet to fit it snugly to the van side

Like Kev says, Ikea units are good. Have a look at a few garage pictures to get some ideas, or there's some plans for a "Westy style" interior in the wiki

It'll be full of rust and filler anyway.

Ok well if you really want to ...
take the template of the van side panel, and put it against the back of the bay furniture that will be resting against the panel.
mark it and jigsaw it out.

same as a new unit really.
As t25's are longer you better start at the tailgate end.

My van has an interior that was meant for a Bay, from a company called RVTech.
Fits well and works for me, it needed a little bit of chopping around the rock'n'roll base to fit, but looks ok to me. Doesn't come with as much room as a Westfalia interior or the bit across the top at the back, but then it is a little smaller and lighter, so swings and roundabouts I guess.
