Turning knocking at speed
Hi,
My Aircooled camper has developed a knocking that can be felt through the steering wheel at some speeds when moving / turning to the left. Any ideas to know where to start looking? I have had a quick look underneath and all seems to be solid.
Cheers,
Daniel

Hi,
Sounds like might be front wheel bearings?

Moving the tyres round sorted it. I replaced the wheel bearings too. They were knackered, looked like they'd been installed badly.

Hope you didn't buy the cheese bearings from GSF
On a positive note you'll still remember how to change them when you do them again in March

Don't fret
My GSF bearings are still going strong..
What Ian says is true, but now they're on save up and get a new proper set to change next year

Re: Turning knocking at speed
On another note I bought some rear bearings from GSF too. But the outers dont bloody fit. Is this the norm? I was lucky this time as on inspection the bearings were fine. Where do gents in the know buy their bearings?
