Bloody hell, take a look this diesel fans.

Post by jed the spread »

I thought I would share the love here for you nice people

Had abit of a result today and I am a little surprised too. Basically I went down GSF to get a new exhaust back box for the Westy, he asked if it was for a Syncro (strange I thought) and got it in the van to make sure it was the right one before I drove off. First I looked where the tail pipe fitted to make sure it wasnt pointing down like the one Alister had on his single cab, fine, then i looked inside it and then I noticed this,

RESULT!!!!!

I then looked at the sticker to see who made it and got abit of a shock,

LOOK!!!! (bottom right)

Strange that isnt it.... You wanna know the best bit? It was £65... (Club 80-90 get trade discount when asked but I have a card, )

What a bargain, takes quarter of an hour to fit and it sounds awesome too.

Strange that ....because "Vorschalldaempfer" means pre-silencer ...as in there should be another one ...the END-Schalldaempfer ...behind it.

But the T3 only ever had one muffler ?

How does it sound Jed?

Run any better?

Did it include the tail pipe?

Was it the syncro one or the normal one you got?

It seems to run fine, dunno if any better just yet as I only took it for a spin round the block and its full of speed humps . It didnt include the tail pipe but you will want the Syncro swan neck tail pipe if your fussy as it touches the rear panel with the normal one on. You could cut the panel back a tad or just pack abit of heat proof matting between the tailpipe and the van. Donno if its my imagination or not but I am sure it sits a tad higher.

Sounds sweet enough.
