ENGINE TROUBLE

Post by trickytroggle28 »

Hi
Not sure where to post this so hope this is the right place, if not I am sure someone will right it.

Water cooled fuel injection T25 starts ok in the cold BUT wont idle when hot and runs rough, threw out a lot of black sooty stuff from exhaust.

Thats a good question. Unfortunately I haven't a clue. I'll have a look on the engine and chassis id plate and get back to you.

look for the engine number Sally.
It will give you some letters and numbers (the engine number is found under the oil breather tower facing rearwards) if you know the engine hasn't been changed it will be in the log book
the letters are what you need.
DJ MV SS are engine codes.

On a DJ coded engine the temp 2 sensor is found on the thermostat housing (looking into the engine bay, to the left, forward and above No 3 cyl exhaust header)
