big brake kit

Post by ericos_bob »

Anyone here running the south african big brake kit on their syncros? How much better are they than stock? Placing an overseas order for a bunch of "necessary" syncro spares and I just can't help but look at all the upgrade goodies out there. Have 15" alloys so they should fit but don't know if they are a big enough improvement over stock to warrant the $$$ spent. Oh and someone please talk me out of blowing more money on my syncro

An enormous improvement. Much better than the 16 front brakes.

You could speak to Dave at http://www.futbus.com if you want anything brake related and he might, or more likely will be able to satisfy your needs. His kits have had tens of thousands of miles put on all his products and are a very respectable set up.

Just fitted front and rear disc kits from Futbus. Couldn't be happier. Dave even came over to Spain to fit them for me.....now that's what I call service!!!

We just got these in to try.
Admittedly they won't make a massive improvement, just improving on what you already have, and I shoould imagine most people will go for looks.
We've used them on the shop van for the last 18 months or so, they do tend to wear better and the coating they come with does tend to stop them looking really shabby really quickly.
Plus they make a nice noise...

I can put your name on the kit if you wish and drop it off when in the UK whenever

First refusal, gentlemen's agreement and all that?
Not sure how the new year's going to pan out, but I know what it owes you and I should really have a fresh set for the 2.6
