Any ideas for a UK camping trip in Jan?
Looking for somewhere for a week in mid Jan. Electrics a must in this weather .
I'm derbyshire based and was thinking something like the Lakes but open to all ideas.
Needs to have good walking from the site.

This is at the bottom of Kirkstone pass, open all year, next to a pub and plenty of walking nearby

Looks stunning!
Shame about the prices £19 a night off peak (inc £2 for the dog a night!)

Try Henry's on the Lizard, Cornwall if its not too far. Here's the link http://www.henryscampsite.co.uk/ We are going there this Saturday just for the night. Amazing sunsets and starry nights.
The Lizard often has its own micro climate so weather can be good when rest of UK is rubbish.

Looks a good idea, could catch the 80-90 camping in jan on the way home Middlewood is closed and Hooks farm dosn't give a season so i've emailed them.
Was hoping for electrics but always after sleepy spots in the summerwindysurfer wrote:There's a couple of wild camping spots very close to the site if your interested

Sorry, thought they stayed open all January now at Middlewood. Hooks House is arguably nicer in some ways, but a longer & steeper walk back from the pub in the evening.

Still having issues finding a site. Everyone is frozen solid!
No water or waste...
Think I'll just head to a camping club site. They have inside taps in toasty hot loo blocks at least
