steering box (LT)

Does anyone know if a steering box can be rebuilt ? If so then by who and where ?
The one on the LT is getting a little close to the end of it adjustablity and cos its LHD the part is hard to come by

probably can be rebuilt as it looks like the end plate is bolted on, if you google steering box rebuild there are plenty about, probably one in steel city somewhere
new from VW they are over a grand as you probably sussed
ebay.de for a used one ?

There's a couple on der Bucht (ebay.de) - search for VW LT Lenkgetriebe

Artikel Nr. - 320626227091 is one.

Landrover steering boxes can be rebuilt ... re-shimmed IIRC ... nowadays though it's more financially viable to get an exchange unit.

I think thats a power steering box ?? its this type 120667220391 ,but won't post
