Westy Water tank

Post by ninja.turtle007 »

Should I be draining down the water tank in my Westy between trips at this time of the year?

Leaving water in stops the tank from going manky.

A good clean and rinse out once a year with something like Puriclean is all you need.

I haven't, though I have been using it quite abit for running around the last couple of weeks. Leave your waist tank open though to stop it freezing up, I have taken the big cap off mine.

Hi there

last year i left water in the tank of my Westie the whole system froze up I needed to replace the submersible pump and do a serious bit of bodging on the micro switch on the tap which had also failed because of the freeze.
This year the whole system is drained
No water no freeze
