Good, at least i don't have rush into getting them. Will invest in those P/steering pipes though, did you have to fit new clips or cable tie them in place?

I'd say fit full-length braided rubber hoses for your PAS - less joints for a kick-off. Don't bother with the disc guards - mine are so rotten they look like like leaf dross

Don't fit braided hoses, we had to once as thats all we could find locally and it was as noisey as you like.

VW steel lines are quiet and you only have to replace the one that's gone, if it's the low pressure side then you can do a short section in rubber to repair

Useful advice - I was thinking on a cost basis, but if long hoses hiss and parp like a JCB hard at work then there's no contest really.

the cost doesn't bear thinking about with the steel lines, I've replaced 3 out of 4 of mine in last 4 years with new for probably twice the price of 2 complete sets of rubber ones, but chances are they won't need doing again and can be salvaged when Edna becomes too tired to keep going

I fitted the rubber hoses that Syncro Services sell cuz at the time the Baxter lad wasnt selling them. I have no trouble with the set up at all now that I got all the clips right. My pump squeals like a banshee though!
