Someone in Yorkshire water was obviously a clever bloke all those years ago to be buying so many Syncros! I have a polaroid pic of my RHD before it got butchered and it had vents in the back but no bulkhead. A rear panel with the vents is twice the price of one without!

Psssst ..... most vans do !!

Restore that van ...... and buy another for fun

though it was just vans with full bulkheads that got the vents?? mine does and yep it was yorkshire water

I have a waterboard panel van and it had the vents in the back and full bulkhead till i ripped it all out and changed it to a camper with windows.

I know someone who has just bought a panel van that's had an aaz conversion for £1600.. Wonder if it is a Yorkshire water van? I think I talked him out of cutting windows in and turning it into a camper on the phone this evening though.

To be fair he knew it would be wrong... I told him to contact Al to see what he has done with his.

In your opinion.

Whereas someone that wants a van that's VERY useful for a multitude of purposes might want to put in some funiture that's easily designed to be removeable in less than 30mins. Turning it back to a panel van in no time giving loads of space, but also a very comfy camper the rest of the time....

But it wouldn't be very original would it. Or would it be more original..

Thats me with the panel van that Jed & Al are talking about. Photos here http://gallery.me.com/richlloyd have definatly decided to keep her as a panel van, and many thanks for all the sensible advice. Was told by the previous owner that he bought her from a "hippy type bloke" in Pembrokeshire, and that it has a Pembrokeshire reg no'. Also that this guy bought it new from Sinclairs the local VW dealership. Not sure if this is true or just a load of C..k & bull. Does the fact that she has a white roof and blue body mean anything? Van is with Lee at present for some welding and mechanical stuff, top man will get some pics up when she is painted to match the doka which I got back today. Can't wait to meet the brotherhood off road!! Cheer to you all Rich
