Last Thursday, "extracting" #1 son from school a day early. We weren't the first in but there hadn't been many!
syncro outside Frewen College.jpg
In case you are wondering, Frewen college is a special needs school for Dyslexic and Asperger's Syndrome pupils on the East Sussex/Kent Border. It's a registered charity and we fought long and hard against our LEA to get our lad a place there. Inside is just as fabulous as outside, the main building here dating from the late 1600's, but he still moans about how awful it is every Sunday when we trek back there...

The school is pretty comfortable I reckon - not too warm but some of the smaller bedrooms up in the wings of the roof can get a bit cool at night. Of course there's no accounting for the boys forgetting that a window has to be closed (after airing their fetid stench during the day) for the heat to stay in...
The whole of Boarding is in the old house and is totally Hogwarts inside. Nothing like a right angle or flat surface anywhere in a timber building of this age. Fantastic.

All well here Andrew. The boys are growing up fast and really enjoying the van. We had some top trips away in it this year - and I'm hoping to take my oldest to one of the Off Road meets next year.
Phase2 or the vans metamorphosis begins soon......I'm taking (some might say) the heretic's route and going for a Scooby 2.5 transplant
take it easy....and keep enjoying that snow....we haven't had much yet down my way
