What is it?

Post by Sir Brixalot »

On the dash above the hazard lights on 1982 van there is a lever switch, when I put it on a loud fan noise kicks in but ne extra air comes into the cab. What is it for?

Just a guess, but is it a manual switch for the rad fan perhaps ?

This of course was never a VW standard fitment by the way.

If so and the normal automatic switch is not working, then you would need to use that switch in hot weather or when stationary in traffic etc, to stop your water system from boiling.

Just a guess though
Got a new van, but it's a 165bhp T4 [shock horror] Accurate LPG Station map here

Somewhere in Streatham a bloke in a different camper is wondering why his lights keep coming on and off.
