Post by jebiga41 »

Gave a tow up a wee slope this morning to 2 lads in a Renault van this morning took longer to attach tow strop than to pull them up gave me a fiver for my troubles, thing is he was in my way was dropping in stuff to the missus. Told me they had been there for the last hour trying to get up with sheets of hessian etc, the Syncro didn't even notice the slope on the way back

Did the same for a bloke in a stuck tranny this morning. Tight git gave me naff all!
Pulled neighbour's car out our estate too, when all were merrily wheelspinning away, then giving up and going back indoors.....

I've been "whitelaning" today too, the gobsmacked look on a copper's face was a picture when I passed him (in his jap 4wd something or other) on a steep ungritted hill with hard packed snow over sheet ice! His expression just said "What the blithering heck.....????? How is an old camper doing THAT!?!?"

Gotta love the Syncro.

It's great how it doesn't feel like you've got anything attached to the tow bar. I'm new to syncros tho' not to 4wd or off road stuff but I just love this syncro stuff! Even tho I'm still not 100% convinced that all my 4wd bits are working properly I can still get where ever I want on the roads with real confidence.

Not made any money back tho!!

The Syncro 4WD setup is so good in winter, you could almost call it boring.

I have winter tyres on mine now as well and in the current conditions (bit of snow and ice) it just goes. No drama, no wheelspin, no sweat ..boring Every now and then I can't resist hitting the brakes full force just to check if it really is as icy as it looks ...t'is
