Ok, so I reconnected the previously disconnected idle stabiliser (the part you disconnect to set the idle speed). One mile later, the engine cut out (Villa 3 2.1 DJ). It wouldn't restart, even bumping it down hill. I re-disconnected the idle stabiliser, and the engine just about restarted, and then was fine again on a stopping-journey home.
Does this add more credence to jpennington's theories on a busted Throttle Position Switch or the power transistor in the ECU?
