Hi All,
My 1985 1.9DG panel came complete with nasty retro-fitted 009 distributor complete with points. I have a box of bits from the seller, along with other new stuff that I've bought with the intention of re-fitting the electronic ignition. I'm also armed with the Haynes wiring diagrams etc. However, what I would really like (if someone is willing to assist) is some photos of a standard system, showing components, connections, wiring runs etc that I can use to make sure that I get it right.
If you can assist, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Stu

Can I second this request? Think the A Team put my ignition together with some yoghurt pots and string.

Here's a pic from the air-cooled Haynes. The general lay-out is the same. I'll be doing the same to my CU engine before Christmas.

Thanks for that, will use that as a guide.

I had a trial run with my bits & pieces today. I guess the green wire and the black one in the photo below go to the coil, but to which terminals?
