front diff locker

Post by more speed »

Evening all,
just been out to fit my front diff lock acctuater and it does'nt appear to work.

Light comes on but dont appear to do much wether the control button is in or out.
One thing i did notice when i was under the van was that the white pipe had some grease in the end of the pipe obviously it fell into a greased area and it did'nt have the rubber pipe on the end of it. Is it possible that the white pipe has sucked up plenty of grease and needs clearing out, the red pipe is fine. How do i check vacume side of things. It could be the slider shaft has siezed and i will look again tomorrow, just thought i would ask about the grease in pipe end.

All working, undid bolts on actuater , engaged diff lock and the actuater shot out.
Noticed the error of my ways, installed roller pin that was a tad bigger than the diameter of the bar it went into, so it jammed when the rod tried to go into the sleeve.

Cheers for the tips
