Hi, i'm pretty new to syncro's too. Had mine less than a week. It's a 16" poptop multivan. i would imagine you'll be looking at 10k plus for a properly sorted one, less if your willing to take a gamble

£10k should get quite a nice Syncro but be careful when looking. Body and interior condition is critical and make sure the gearbox and VC have been done. After that budget for a couple of grand to sort the rest out. Why a 16" ??

Personally, i would focus on the mechanical side. If possible get someone who knows to take a look at anything you re thinking of buying.
IMHO, i have spent far more on sorting out the mechanics of my syncro to make it truly reliable than i could ever hope to on an interior or body work.
But the 2K set aside to sort out 'issues' is definitely a good idea, trust me, you'll need it however careful you are...

thanks guys i had an auto sleeper camper maybe 10 years ago now and loved it i did some european trips in it and thought it was great but sold it and got a land rover defender... still got a vw bus but its a t5 shuttle so thinking of maybe selling it and buying a syncro camper ..
i like the looks of the 16" and the bigger arches ... but yeh £10000 sounds ok if i could jump in it and get some trouble free miles to begin with is that possible .... thanks for the advice

it is possible at that price but you do need to be carefull as you will also see vans at that price that are worn out. buy on recomendation after a good check over and you should be fine. as has been said before many times the less you spend initially the more it`ll cost you in the end. there`s always exception to the rule and without nameing names ...."jed"..... bargains can be had.
syncro`s do have a bit of a reputation of emptying your pocket but they are very special vehicles.

HI Bianch,
Just spotted your posting and noticed your from Renfrew.
If your still looking for a good Syncro Get yourself over to Syncronutz in Shotts as Ian will sort you out with something as he has always got something well worth buying.
There are a few of us up here in Scotland with the Syncro habit and are talking about having a get together quite soon.
Would be a good opportunity to meet up and find out more about Syncros or check over anything you've purchased.............
