somewhere for lunch ... west sussex / south downs ?

Post by 16vmini »

Hi all ,

just got my t25 yesterday , fancy taking family out for a lunch ( made in camper van ).
any recomendations , i live in horsham so anywhere between gatwick and brighton would be ideal.

just somthing with a nice view etc... maybe up on the south downs ? somewhere with an ice cream van would keep the ladys in my family very happy ( allthough not sure how many ice cream vans are around this time of year )

cheers

Matt

Seven Sisters near Eastbourne is really nice. A short walk to the White cliffs and beach is really nice. Icecream van in the car park. Jed's recommendation. We had rely nice weekend around there.

I have often thought about doing a weekend holiday guide for trips under £50 for a family of four

How about devils dyke nr Brighton.
Lovely view, ever present ice cream van,

Also plenty of walks.

Oops, hope the fog didn't spoil the view too much!!
Stopped there for an ice cream there last week when I was on my mountain bike.
Guess he's a fair weather trader:-)
that normally happens to me though, someone recommends a great place and when I go it's peeing down.
