Yet another Cabin blower issue..

Post by choplee »

I'm joining the blower not working correctly group ...

Basically the blower seems to make a habit of melting the fuse .
The camper came with the fan not running ,so checked the switch then the fuse..
Seems to run ok on 1 & 2 speed and doesn't make any real resistance noises that may create a high current and heat in the wiring..
The fan seems to run for awhile in 3rd speed ,but then cut's out to find the fuse in the process of plastic surgery ...lol

I know someone will say just don't use the 3rd speed and it will be fine .. But in the dark you forget and just turn it ...

Could be a problem with you blower motor
It's either seizing and overloading the circuit, the three speed resistor is faulty or there is an earth fault on the third speed circuit or to the blower.

Thanks for the info.....I think i'll be limiting the speed controller to 1 & 2 for now unless i get big time to take the dash out
least i now know what maybe the issue with the fuses burning out ...
