need help number plate light help

just failed mot on a few small faults
but cant suss out why one side of number plate lights will not work
its the drivers side rhd (2 wires)
tried swapping them over no joy
traced the wires back to the box no signs of damage
need help asap as got to back in the garage end of week

The right hand side runs directly from the left hand side so you probably have a connection problem between the two.
Have you taken the light out and tested it? The connections can break down inside due to water ingress and it's not too easy to spot unless you physically test it on a 12v supply.

yes mate conected it up to a charger and everythung worked and when put on van didnt
can i wire it directly to the one that works?

Yes you can but it should already be wired to the one next to it! Try replacing the cables running from the light on the other side, should do the jobbie!

i cheated and replaced them with a l.e.d. strip light got the idea from a bus
