Correct carbs for CU?

Post by 81AirCooled »

As I've got really bad leaky carbs I'm thinking of getting some second hand ones and having them balanced. I've found these which seem the right ones for the CU. I think these are off a bay, but are they the same as the T25 CU ones? I can't copy the picture itself so I'll have to post the whole link;

thanks :)

I wouldn't have a clue how to fit them. I'm looking at a straight swap for simplicities sake really.

They look look like early 1700/1800 type 4 carbs, I can't see the idling circuit as fitted to the later ones. I would have your original carbs refurbished it is rare for the carbs to be totally shot unless they are cracked or corroded. It would be easier to set up than trying to adapt the wrong parts.

Thought so. I will try to find somewhere local that can refurb them.
