Hi Chaps,
Need some help with rear drums.
Any one know if the rear drum back plates are syncro specific for a 14" syncro.
I had some new spares ones but could'nt remember if they where for 2WD or 4WD, fitted them anway. The problem i am having is that when you push the drum on fully it gets very tight i.e cant spin the wheel properly. I know its not the brake shoes as i have backed them right off.
Any ideas. ??
Bought the back plates from Just Kampers ages ago

Re: 14" rear brakes issue
back plates are the same 2wd and syncro
have JK supplied bay ones instead of T3 ?
have you backed off the handbrake too, always worth doing when fitting new ones, set them up at the wheel with no handbrake tension and then when happy they are well adjusted then adjust the 6mm nut on the handbrake cable to get the 4 click operation, failure to back off handbrake with new parts will result in difficulties setting it up ime
