Keep it as is for the next year. I think t25's and in particular, syncro's will enjoy a big price hike by next summer. Tarted up ones will be everywhere.
And if yours is the last RHD, have you checked whether VAG uk would be interested in buying it?

I also think the panel vans look the best. Would have one if i didn't have kids

if you can afford the space and the money to keep it then i would. saying that sometimes having special "things" can be more of a chore than a pleasure. i`m sure you know what i mean. either way one hell of a find.....

jesus andrew get the bloody thing running and stop faffing about!! by the time you restore it back to a panel van you'll be too old to drive it and you'll be scared to drive it off road, besides if you leave it lying around any longer some git from dublin will nick it or break it for parts for you

A camper over here has to have 1.8m standing room to the lowest point so has to be a hightop to get our special camper tax which then works out at 85 yoyos a year regardless of engine size, actually andrew you should put a hightop on it

You should buy mine, then you would have the Last TWO RHD Syncros built in Graz, with sequential chassis
numbers..........
...........but one of them would actually drive.

First get it going, then sit in for a few evenings & pick out some fabric for your Camper Interior. something autumnal will match you rusty nuts.........
Give up your Drink habit, save up some wonga, send it to Aidan and have the Gearbox & Front Diff re-built,
While thats going on Hi-top that bad boy, fit TDi, fit Rhd Power steering , decoupler, front locker, big wheels & tyres, upgraded suspension & CV joints, save more money, send it to The Baxter with your list, I believe he has a discount scheme for museum pieces. Its men like him that put the Great in Great Britain

...or you could sell it to me....and i'll sit in...give up the drink....save up the wonga.........& offroad it!

I'd prefer to shave with a 9" angle grinder than fit it with a high top or a pop top .......

There is nothing in the Syncro owners handbook about giving up the drink ........ simply doesnt compute

Having the last ever (Graz) made RHD Syncro is all fine and dandy, if ...and only if ...it's in near perfect original condition. Otherwise it's just an old Syncro like many others with a more or less long list of things that could do with improving/sorting.

Now I don't know the van or what state it's in ...but if it's miles a way from from being perfect I'd just make it useable and use it and save all that "last ever" malarchy for a little private chuckle to myself every now and then.
