My Dilema

Post by Essex Nige »

I currently drive my non syncro doka 120 miles aday 6 on the trot every other week, now the doka needs work and is due for an MOT early Dec and today it started making noises from the drums on the back, My options are as follows:-

1. Start using the syncro, now has an AAZ and would benifit from the running to eek out any problems before i get serious with it

or

2. Buy a golf/passat run this while i deal with the doka then rob the engine and put it in the doka once the other work is done

Either option i will be putting an AAZ into the doka, so a golf/passat will be brought

If you are set on getting a Golf etc for the engine, then running it a while should at least give you peace of mind that it's a good runner before you gut it.

Thats what I did. I ran the AAZ for about 2000 miles and not a peep out of it!
