Siezed turbo waste gate 1.6 JX
Is it ok to disconnect the actuator rod and tap the end of the lever with a hammer, how hard can I hit It? Should I spray wd40 where the spindle enters the turbo and leave it overnight?

I had the same problem on a Pegeot 2.4 Turbo Diesel, took it into my local garage and they freed it by applying lubrication and applying force to free the waste gate mechanism. It was fine thereafter! Didn't cost much so if you are unsure might be worth taking it in to reputable garage.

Many thanks, I've had very little experience with turbo's, I might take the exhaust off to see if I can access the waste gate itself, otherwise get expert help.
