LHD Aircooled top front panel

Post by totallyconfused »

Hi,

This might b a stupid question but can u use a RHD top front panel on a LHD van? I think the windscreen wipers are different? Can u adapt a RHD panel?

If u cant, where can i get a LHD panel from? Tried just kampers, vw heritage, GSF, volkswagen. No joy. Does anyone have any contacts in Europe that I could get a LHD panel from?

Sorry if this should be in wanted section, but wanted some advice too...

Many Thanks, Christian.

I think the pressing is the same for both LHD and RHD, the difference is the LH has the wiper holes punched out of the 2 raised lumps, where as the Rh has the holes punched out on the flats and plastic spacers fitted instead. It should be fairly straight forward to weld up the RHD holes and drill new ones in the raised lumps to suit LHD
