Just for those who don't read General

Post by Aidan »

Ok just to put it in the public domain, in order to facilitate some major change in my life I intend to take a sabbatical from gearbox rebuilding as of the end of the financial year, ie 5 April 2011. The break will likely be for at least 6 months, possibly 12, I don't know yet. I will still be around and will have the tools/parts to be able to honour any warranties and support existing customers but I will not be taking on any new gearbox work and may not be supplying parts either once stock levels are run down. I'm fully booked up until Xmas now so if anyone is considering any gearbox work bear in mind I will only be able to do probably 20 jobs between 3 Jan and April 5 and last booking date will be 25 March.

If you are interested in any work in that 13 week period I'd ask that you contact me soon rather than leaving it until end of January so that I can make best use of the period available for everyone's benefit. Initial contact by pm or email is preferred.

been there, done that, got the 50th anniversay baseball cap ,
fixed it, drove it, fixed it some more, drove it and sold it and moved on; since then I've been spoilt by syncros, wouldn't ever go back except in a paid for work company provided situation and I don't think I'll be employed working in conservation land management again

Aidan, I am shocked at the news and what it might mean for syncro owners, you being the nicest person to deal with bar none.

But on the other hand I am very pleased that you have decided on a sabbatical and know that this must have been a very hard decision to make. I really do wish you well in whatever it is you end up doing and if ever you are down my way please pop in for a brew.

PS I was just thinking of you on my way home from work just now, and that you might like to take a look at the syncro PTO I have brought home temporarily with me on behalf of Xriss.
