acceptable voltage drop?
If I place a battery on charge overnight, and then I remove it from charge, what is an acceptable voltage drop once it is removed from charge? Lets say in a 24 hour period. This is when it is not installed in the van.

Re: acceptable voltage drop?
Opinions vary (as discussed at length here = http://www.landiss.com/battery.htm )
In my experience it should read around 14 volts when just come off charge and should not drop below 12.6 in 24 hours resting with NO load. If it drops more than that it is not in good nick.

I agree going below 12.6 is a sign of trouble to come in the winter
