water leak into rear

Post by ewenmaclean »

Hello,

I had a look to see on the wiki if this is a common leak and couldn't find out exactly what to do. I have replaced the rear door seal, but since have discovered that water is penetrating via a bad seam in the body work above the door. I'm attaching the best pictures I could manage to point it out. I'm pretty sure this is where it's coming from, but am struggling to see how it's getting in from above. If it is a small hole or split in the gulley above the rear door, is there a sensible way of repairing without resorting to silicon sealant in the actual seam?

Any advice much appreciated as always

Ewen

Steve from Gasure told me to use fiberglass resin for a pretty permanent fix, mine leaks in the same place or did.

Great - thanks a lot - just what I needed to know! Wish I could find exactly where it's getting in though...
