Flickering lights

Post by toyclean »

Hi folks, I don't really drive my van much in the dark but noticed this evening that as well as the dash lights flickering like they're backlit by a candle the headlights also seem to flicker a bit. Anyone got a quick list of things that might cause this? Apart from age...

Cheers.

Could be your alternator regulator and or brushes getting a bit old/worn. A replacement usually sorts out this problem but if it doesn't annoy you too much it's fine to leave as is. A replacement may be needed soon anyway, this can be an early warning indicator!

Much appreciated. I'll take a look at Haynes.
