Well tomorrow is the big day, all i need to do is fill the syncro's new AAZ with water and oil and fingers crossed it'll start, so wish me luck

Well it is an oil-burner, but all the best anyway battery fully charged?

Remove the retrun line from the pump at the filter.
use a vacuum pump and draw fuel up and fill the pump.
sTICK YOUR PINKY OVER THE OPEN TAIL ON THE FILTER.
I hate caps lock me.
Hey presto injection pump full of fuel, hard bit done.
Just remember, it could be much worse, you could own a WBX.

luckily i have a hand pump fitted (like the ones you get on an outboard motor fuel tank) zero faff

Well she lives, of sorts, started but now has a knock that wasn't there before... and once warm the oil light flashes which i'm taking is oil temp?
oh and i think i might have put the clutch plate in back to front cos the clutch harldly works, but apart for that everything is fine and dandy

oil light flashing is not oil temp. it a pressure loss warning...... doesn`t sound good.

Dont panic yet...

Recheck the timing. If its even half a tooth out it will sound "pooh" and not work properly....

Ringo, timing wasn't touched Russel from syncronutz says it's No 4 con rod balance weight is catching your oil pump pick up tube...
