Power Steering Packed Up!!!

Post by Big Nick »

Having problems with my daily so hopped in to the van this morning on the way to work, whilst manoevering off the front apron to the house, the power steering packed up. I had just completed a number of lock to lock moves and on was on lock and suddenly no power steering, not too bad on the move but a Geoff Capes job a slow speeds (not helped by the wee Polo Sport steering wheel fitted). Any suggestion would be much appreciated (89 Multivan).

On my 2.1 the power steering pump is on the right hand side of the engine bay, next to the alternator.
