Just wondering if anyone knows if Mk2 golf headlights would fit a T25 without modification??

Don't imagine it's anything personal, they just don't fit.
Lots of options for changing your lamps, but the 2 you've suggested are obviously not the way to go. Have a look on vagcat and you'll see the differnces in the mountings for the Golf and the van.

What a long strange trip it's been

Will they fit without modification?
Reply No.
They don't fit without modifications.
I can go on and on saying no in many different ways, the fact is they don't fit without modification.
maybe if you had asked "I have some MKII Golf headlamps, what do I need to do to make them fit?" then you may have had some different replies.
Don't get shirty when people are only responding to your question.
The problems lie with the question, not the answer.

Re: DO they fit?
when i did mine i used the golf lamp and adjusters and the t25 backing plates. the adjuster screws dont line up with the standard holes without causing the lamp to be mounted on the squiff so you have to re drill and shape the holes so the golf adj screws and lamp then fit to the old mount whilst keeping the lamp lined up 12 and 6 o clock so to speak.
once you get both items next to eachother its pretty obvious what needs doing.

Thanks for that. I'm going to order some lights next week and will come back to you if I have any problems.

Re: DO they fit?
No one does T3 specific ones, so you have to take a Golf headlamp and modify it to fit.
If there are T3 ones out there, they will be modified ones.
I prefer the MKI Golf ones over the MKII, but it was several years ago when I did mine so manufacturers may have changed by now.
I think I put crystals in somewhere around 2001 I think, back then you could only get LHD.
When RHD ones became available I swapped for "Crystal Cross hairs" again using MKI golf items but stripping the T3 headlamp frame right back, chopping some bits out and screwing the complete MKI (inc bracket) assembly into the T3 frame.
It didn't take too long with an air saw.
