Fitting Fiamma F45ti on Devon Moonraker
Hello good people...
I have a Devon Moonraker roof (side elevating) and a Fiamma F45ti. I'm having the following issue and I was hoping someone may have encountered and hopefully solved the same prboblem.
My roof is held down with over center brackets/latch that are located on the "B" pillar (one directly behind front seats) and the other in front of the air vent toward the rear.
I'm trying to fit a Fiamma F45ti and the fitting bracket I've bought are supposed to be fixed to the gutter and then conuter rest on the body work. They are these ones:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FIAMMA-AWNING-MOU ... 58885d91b6
As my roof bracket/latch for the pop top are in the way I've got nowhere to fit the Fiama brackets for the awning. See picture below:
Has anyone found any solutions to this? Or any other type of fixing brackets for the Fiamma awning?
Any help appreciated as we're leaving in less than 3 weeks and I need this sorted before we go...
Many thanks, David

Exactly as James has said, those rubber ones you have fitted are not much use, if you look inside your van just above the slider is there a bracket fastened to the fibreglass part of the roof? if so then a strap from this to the van body inside is all we ever used, very secure and no going out to undo before upping it(rain sleet snow etc)

Cheers for the link. Bought the fasteners you mentioned and fitted them using an aluminium spacer block (to clear the gutter) and a 1.5mm threaded stainless steel plate on the inside of the fibreglass roof and a catch on the van body. My roof is on so tight it doesnt budge in the slightest. I'm sure I could do 120mph and it wouldnt move...
I've been trying to get that roof perfect for ages.....thanks heaps!

I'll get a photo up tomorrow as its too dark now...
Tried to get that roof nice and snug for ages, glad its finally perfect.
Just came back from 6000 miles through France/Spain/Portugal where even when driving into head wind at 75 mph the roof, hinges and fastener alignments havnt budged,...well chuffed!
I would recommend strong new steel hinges - held with 4 holes and proper strong drive rivets or flush metal hex screws, drill an extra hole one for extra strength and to square up the holes so there will be no movement at all in the hinges - The wind in portugal often reached 60/70mph in some places and with the roof up at night the hinges or fastener alignments didnt budge, I was glad I invested the time in fitting these. If my van could do 120mph I'm sure my roof wouldn't move one bit!

Sorry....not had my van since last holidays as I've been working on the Syncro so that I can (finally) get it ready.
Below's a link to some photos of the spaces & the fastners, etc. They were fitted using a stainless stell backplate which was threaded to take high tensil screws so its on there tight. I'll also try to add the photos to this post but can never seem to be able to do it...

Wont let me add the photos to the post...just says:
"It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image"
Hope the URL works then...
