1.9 WBX NOT STARTING! HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!

Hi I'm new to t25's and having my first issue with my awesome van.
I know its been covered before loads as i can see from the forum, but have gone through everything, and am now stuck. this is what has happened
1. van wouldnt turn over so, had to bump start home.
2. checked battery is fine
3. so changed starter bell house bush still not starting
4. changed starter motor and checked all connections, gearbox earth strap aswell
5. getting power from the main battery cable as i put it directly to thye starter and it spun.
6. and the relay in the glovebox is clicking.
please,please help, dont know what else to do

Hiya, welcome tothe Forum.

Recheck the small signal wire and it's 6mm spade terminal ... these are notorious for failing.

Whats the best thing to do, just chop my one off and clamp a new one on i take it

Yep, often the wires have turned green and are fraying inside the insulation, I cut our's back to good (making sure it was still long enough first !! :lol: ) and put heatshrink up the cable, new crimp and shrunk it down.

The other option could be the ignition switch of course.

Hi there sorry too hear about your van????Ive got to change my starter motor bush in the engine ive seen you have done yours..Was it hard too do how did you get the old bush out and did you jack the van up or do it from the top..

Glenn, It was alot easier than i thought. I done it without jackin it up either, but im fairly thin, other people have said to undo battery lead and i agree its a constant feed :shock: use a tap or bolt to get the old one out and a 11mm bolt with a nut sllighty screwed on, too put the new one in

A Big Thankyou to Ian :ok Chopped back the sender wire, put a new connector on,recheck the gearbox earth wire and bam she statred 2 weeks of pain over!!! :D best of all not a lazy starter anymore. will defo be using the forum again. :lol: :lol: :lol:
