Air coming from Heater Sliders

Post by colouredFunk »

Hi,

I need to winter proof my van now the temperature has dropped..

I've no idea why this is happening, but when driving along at a reasonable speed, air is coming from in-between the heater control sliders... Air also comes out of the foot-well heaters even when turned off... Don't know if that is related...

Any ideas?

Also, Does anyone know if there is supposed to be some sort of rubber grommet where the accelerator cable comes from behind the pedal and out of the van? I get a nice little breeze through that hole as well!

Many thanks for the help!

Front air vent probably not closing right. As a quick winter measure you could just block it off:

Remove front headlight grill. You'll see front air vent at centre top. Block this off. You could just unscrew mesh, put some cling film across it and refit mesh. Otherwise you need to investigate why flap isn't closing properly.
