1y engine

Post by Stuwee1983 »

Hi
Been fitting my the 1y engine to the shed and have a a issue that i need to sort.

Throttle is causing me problems, the 1y throttle pert rudes out the engine bay so i cannot fit the the engine cover, i thought it was just a matter of changing over the throttle arm from my old Ky engine but the spindle where the arm attaches to is different. Anyone know mods or have had this prob.

The 1Y engine came out of a Jetta and did not have an immobilizer fitted which was a result.

Apart from that the conversion was easy and fairly straight forward, i have had her running and the engine is a good runner 8)

All i have to do is get her through her Mot and she ready for the open road.

Cheers
Stuart
