Just done an oil change and have stripped a bit of the sump thread. What can be done to rectify this? Its leaking oil. I feel the urge to tighten the nut a bit more but am worried that it will make it worse?

I assume the whole sump will need replacing? Is this a costly procedure?

Cheers

by the way I hadnt even got the nut half way in before I new something was wrong. I am alway mindful of not over-tightening the sump nut
