The Best Rubber Window Seals

Post by mitchellsfold »

My Westy is off to be sprayed - windows out - in a few weeks.

Which company / brand produce the best replacement rubber?

Front and rear windows have leaks so I'm going to need these as a minimum...

Advice please..

This guy (Chris) was great for my windscreen rubber - definately worth talking to him. His fit properly and are genuine as far as I know. Many others don't - sadly. We discovered this when Chickenkoop and I did repair work on our windscreens. I got mine from Chris, Rob got his from JK. Absolutely no comparison. I mentioned in another thread that cheaper ones are like trying to squeeze a car tyre through a letterbox....

Chris very helpful and his rubbers fit easy - all originals. I can never understand why anyone would opt for ill-fitting copies when this is probably the only time it has to be done for another 20 years. The JK ones just look kak and you need ten men to get them to fit - windscreen rubbers particularly. Chris's ones can be fitted single-handed.

Just doing a quick search as I need some more window rubbers for another van. Didn't realize VW Emporium are just a few streets away from me!! Will be speaking to them tomorrow.

I bought some from here and to be honest they were peesh. I ended up using the original old one i took out and bining it. They were 10mm smaller than the original ones.
